
MOUNTAIN MAMA’S ORGANIC HERBS- SANTA FE SPICE MIX.
With this mix you’ll find all kinds of things you’ll want to do with it. First of all, it makes a great mix for hamburgers. If you have kids, I have something special for you to try. Take the lean ground beef, 3/4 cup of bread crumbs and mix well. Then make meatball and fry. Place 3 or 4 meatballs in a hoagie bun. I like to cut my hoagie buns from the top. I make a small "V" cut but only half way down in the middle of the hoagie bun. Then remove the bread from your "V" cut. Make your cut just large enough for the meatballs to fit really well for eating. Take my spaghetti/pizza sauce mix and spoon two/three tablespoons over them. Over your meatballs and sauce add your special cheese. My husband's favorite is provolone. I lay it over the meatball, sauce and top of hoagie bun itself. I put the meatball hoagies in the microwave just until the cheese melts. Adults and kids alike love these meatball hoagies. They will be asking for them all the time. Don't have hoagie buns use hot dog buns. The meatballs freeze well too.
This is great to use when mixing hamburgers, meatloaf and meatballs. Enough Santa Fe Rub for two pounds of ground meat.
